YOUTH MINISTRY

THE YOUTH PROGRAM is building in many new directions. 7th-12th graders are invited to “Holy Hour of Power” Sunday mornings, the hour before worship. Other opportunities are R.I.S.K. (Random Incidents of Senseless Kindness), S.W.A.M.P. (Small With A Mighty Purpose – small groups), as well as many other fellowship and faith nurture opportunities.

Missions, Camp opportunities, retreats, and a Praise & Worship band are all ministries that you can look forward to at High Street.

ACOLYTES The youth are invited to participate in the acolyte program of the church. Each Sunday a pair of youth light the candles on the altar and participate in the morning worship.

CONFIRMATION Each winter quarter all sixth grade or older students are offered the opportunity to participate in confirmation classes to prepare them for church membership. These classes are divided between sessions with mentors and group classes and activities.

“NEW COMMUNITY” is a ministry for kids Pre-K-6th grade. New Community will run twice a year for 10 weeks at a time along side the ALPHA program. The night includes a Bible lesson, dinner, fellowship, homework time and much fun.

MIGHTY MEMORIZERS is part of our Sunday School program that encourages children to use the Bible and memorize scripture.
